Jan 21, 2015
SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- In response to fundamental shifts in the industry, Enterprise Connect 2015, produced by UBM Tech, will debut a comprehensive new conference track, Communications Software Architectures, as part of an expanded focus on the role of software in enterprise communications. This new track, together with a full day of WebRTC programming and other new program features, aims to help communications professionals understand and leverage the migration from hardware platforms to software within enterprise communications.
The new software focus is just one of the highlights of this year's 25th anniversary of Enterprise Connect, the leading conference and exhibition for enterprise communications and collaboration technology. The event will take place March 16-19, 2015 at the Gaylord Palms Convention Center in Orlando, FL. For more information or to register, visit: www.enterpriseconnect.com/orlando.
Enterprise Connect's all-new conference programming explores the challenge of keeping apps and software-based systems and services running, up-to-date and secure. The new conference track, Communications Software Architectures, will feature five in-depth sessions on middleware, interoperability, app development platforms, systems integration, and communications-enabled business processes. New additions to the General Session lineup include:
- During EC Summit: Life in a Cloud-Based, Software-Intensive Future on Wednesday, March 18, 9:15 – 10:00, a panel will analyze how the combination of the Cloud and the migration to software-intensive architectures will impact the options – and career paths – for communications and IT professionals.
- EC Summit: Managing in a Software-Intensive World will analyze best practices in operations and management, and provide a framework for coping with the new reality in communications and collaboration. The session will take place on Thursday, March 19, 9:00 – 10:00 am.
"As Enterprise Connect reflects on the past 25 years, we're proud of our track record as the premier conference and expo showcasing cutting-edge communication and collaboration software, systems and services," said Enterprise Connect General Manager Fred Knight. "With the introduction of this new track, Enterprise Connect is offering the community a new resource to help them transition to a new software-based future."
WebRTC: Is it Ready for the Enterprise?

WebRTC remains a hot topic as the industry grapples with the issue of how this potentially revolutionary Web standard can provide real business value. A full day of programming will provide updates on the status of standards and products, and includes live demos of WebRTC-based products and case studies from enterprise IT execs who have implemented WebRTC. The WebRTC Conference-in-a-Conference takes place Monday, March 16, 8:30 am – 4:00pm.
The 2015 keynote lineup features leading industry suppliers, including:
- Avaya's Gary Barnett, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Collaboration
