UBM Tech Names New Editors of InformationWeek Alethea Yip and Jessica Davis

NEW YORK, Oct. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- InformationWeek, the most trusted media brand of business technology professionals, has named Alethea Yip as Managing Editor and Jessica Davis as Senior Editor, Enterprise Apps.

In her new role, Alethea Yip will be guiding InformationWeek's day-to-day content creation and production process, working directly with staff editors and freelancers on content creation. She'll also be lending her extensive experience to improving our offerings of daily editorial newsletters.
Alethea has spent nearly 20 years in tech journalism, most recently as the managing editor at Slashdot Media, where she oversaw all editorial newsletters and strategic content. Prior to that, Alethea served as senior editor of newsletters for Ziff Davis Enterprise, where she supervised all aspects of the newsletter process for eWEEK, Channel Insider, Baseline, CIO Insight, and Smarter Technology. Before joining ZDE, Alethea held several roles at TechTV, including homepage editor, news website producer, and news assignment editor. Before jumping into the world of technology journalism, Alethea worked at community newspapers, covering crime, social trends, and politics.
An experienced technology journalist and editor, Jessica Davis will cover enterprise applications, big data, business intelligence, and business analytics for InformationWeek. She'll go beyond the headlines to bring our readers the real-world stories of how enterprises are applying these technologies today, and what they have planned for the future.
Jessica has spent her 20-plus-year career covering the intersection of business and technology, most recently as Editor-in-Chief of Penton Media's MSPmentor and Ziff Davis Enterprise's Channel Insider, and at other titles including IDG's Infoworld. She's passionate about the practical use of business intelligence, predictive analytics and big data for smarter business and a better world. In her spare time she enjoys playing Minecraft and other video games with her sons. She's also a student and performer of Improvisational comedy.
