4G World is the only conference this fall where enterprises and operators will meet to discuss the state of the art of the mobile enterprise marketplace. Enterprise Thursday will kick off with a Networking Breakfast hosted by 4G World for attendees and members of the Chicago Mobile Meetup Group (CMUP), an informal professional group focused on developing relationships, exchanging ideas, and fostering mobile technology innovation. This will be followed by a keynote from CMUP co-founder J. Schwan, Founder and CEO of Solstice Mobile and Bottega Sol, entitled, "Mobile First 4G Strategies for the Enterprise." This fast-paced talk will highlight the major categories of mobile moments in the enterprise, citing specific enterprise examples across marketing, sales, services, transaction processing and customer support use case studies.
A panel discussion focused on "The Future of LTE: What the Next Three Years Will Look Like" will be moderated by Simon Stanley, Senior Analyst, Heavy Reading. Panelists include: Asok Chatterjee, Chairman, 3GPP Project Coordination Group; Stephen Turnbull, Division Marketing Manager, Freescale Wireless Access Division; and Noy Kucuk, Vice President of Marketing, Networking Solutions Group, LSI.

Tolva will provide a detailed report and update on this ambitious project and responses to the Request for Information (RFI) which is due in early November. Industry thought leaders will come together to discuss enterprise applications and information systems that run on a truly converged mobile broadband platform enabled by 4G HetNets LTE, HSPA+ and Wi-Fi.
- The panel on "4G and Wi-Fi Enterprise Mobile Network Convergence" will examine the evolution of 4G and whether the throughput and capacity it offers can meet the demands of enterprise users of bandwidth-hungry applications on mobile devices.
- "Unified Communications: Untethering Enterprise Apps, Content and Delivery" will explore the options, opportunities, requirements, technologies and techniques required to drive mobile unified communications success.
- With so many different perspectives and definitions of 4G at work, it's time to discuss what the enterprise really wants from 4G and what's required for mobile enterprise success. The "4G: Setting (and Meeting) Enterprise Expectations" panel will look at the impact of 4G services on an organization's IT strategies; and the steps that IT planners can take to build effective, long-term strategies around 4G.
Industry expert Phil Marshall, Chief Research Officer of Tolaga Research, will then lead the track on "Innovative M2M Applications: Solutions for Vertical Industries." This track will take a deeper look at how powerful new M2M devices and applications are creating new market opportunities for enterprises in vertical industries to leverage 4G connectivity. Wireless Smart Grid, Energy and Sensor Network Innovations will examine the role of 4G wireless networks in smart grid initiatives through the energy industry.
