The Enterprise Cloud Site Hosts Live Video Chat on Cloud Computing Featuring Authors Thomas Erl, Amin Naserpour, and Ricardo Puttini
Jun 6, 2013
NEW YORK, June 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- On Friday, June 7, at 12:00 p.m. ET, authors of the new book Cloud Computing: Concepts, Technology & Architecture will participate in a live video chat with The Enterprise Cloud Site Editor in Chief, Michael Steinhart.
The video chat, titled "Cloud Computing: Beyond the Vendor Hype," will discuss the need for IT professionals to gain a vendor-neutral understanding of cloud computing architectural models and their associated technologies and mechanisms. Co-authors Thomas Erl, Amin Naserpour, and Ricardo Puttini will share their insights and take audience questions. Specific topics to be addressed include: how to navigate the crowded and noisy cloud marketplace; how to tell whether a cloud service is sufficiently mature; and how to avoid common pitfalls when adopting cloud technologies.
"I'm very excited to have three cloud experts on the line at once," Steinhart said. "When companies are considering cloud solutions, it's very easy for them to get bogged down in the marketing-speak and inflated expectations. In their book, Thomas, Amin, and Ricardo approach the cloud from a pure technology standpoint, and I think their insights will be very valuable to the audience."
This is the first live video chat hosted by The Enterprise Cloud Site, a UBM Tech community created to discuss cloud technologies and enterprise IT. Participation is free, and attendees also have the opportunity to post questions for the book's authors in real time via the site's live chat feature.
