Sixth Multicore Expo Co-Locates With UBM Electronics ESC Silicon Valley Event
Apr 6, 2011
EL DORADO HILLS, Calif., April 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Multicore Expo (www.multicore-expo.com), the premier technical conference and exhibition devoted to the multicore technologies that are transforming the embedded computing industry, today announced its conference program including several technical sessions related to standards from the Multicore Association. Co-located with UBM Electronics' ESC Silicon Valley 2011 event, the sixth annual Multicore Expo takes place May 2 – 5 at McEnery Convention Center, San Jose, California.
In addition to an exclusive Multicore Pavilion and a Multicore Theater, the Multicore Expo provides three days of multicore-processing technical training options covering a variety of topics including safety and real-time considerations, debug, manycore technology, GPGPUs in embedded applications, multicore software frameworks, parallelization techniques, and performance analysis and optimization.
The Multicore Pavilion comprises a wide variety of turn-key exhibits from multicore industry leaders, providing attendees with the opportunity to see multicore technology in action as well as network with multicore hardware and software implementation experts. The pavilion also contains a theatre, open to all attendees, where sponsors will deliver presentations highlighting specific multicore technologies. Additionally, the event includes a new by invitation only, Executive Summit: Strategies for Integrating Multicore Technology.
"Multicore technology has gone from being a novelty for the inquisitive, to a reality for the majority of the embedded industry," said Markus Levy, Multicore Expo conference chair. "As multicore implementations proliferate in a wide range of applications, embedded system developers are realizing the challenges associated with programming, debug, and optimization. The Multicore Expo bridges the gap between hardware and software multicore technology implementation, making it the electronics industry's top forum for raising, debating and resolving the key issues of the multicore ecosystem."
"We are excited to have the Multicore Expo co-located with ESC Silicon Valley again in 2011," said David Blaza, vice president, UBM Electronics. "Being able to offer the range of high-quality, multicore technology training and exhibits available at the Multicore Expo helps us reach our goal to give attendees a richer, mutli-disciplinary experience."
