Brent Pearson, UBM Electronics CTO, to Speak at MediaNext 2012 on Developing an E-Learning Business

On Monday, October 29, at 9:00 a.m., Pearson will participate in the panel and interactive workshop "How to Build an E-Learning Business." The panel will discuss the components of a successful e-learning business, including skills development based curriculum, multiple-session modules, between session interaction, attracting qualified instructors and end-of-course certification. In addition, the panelists will explore all facets of e-learning, from scoping out topics, attracting audiences, creating the content, pricing and learning management platform options. Other panelists include: Shelly Jones Jennings, Vice President, Digital, Black Enterprise, and Sara Domville, Division President, F+W Media.

He has more than 12 years of software engineering, web development and management expertise. Prior to UBM, Pearson was Director of Technology for Carat, a full service digital media company that provides technology consulting services to Fortune 1000 companies. Earlier, he was the Director of Development for TradePoint Solutions, a software-as-a-service provider in the consumer packaged goods industry. Pearson also cofounded Lawdex, focused on creating and sharing legal documentation and communication electronically. In April 2012, Pearson was named a C-level visionary in the FOLIO: 40 for rebuilding the company's technology infrastructure into a scalable, single-platform operation.
