  • "Countering Counterfeiters: Strategies for Detecting Fake Components & Insulating Your Supply Chain Against Counterfeits"
    • Time: 2:50-3:30pm

    • Speaker: Bolaji Ojo, editor in chief, EBN 
    • Summary: In part one of this two-part panel discussion presented by UBM Tech, a forensic expert on the identification and detection of counterfeits will demonstrate how to detect counterfeit components and outline actions that procurement professionals can take to avoid buying fake parts.  In part two, industry executives and experts will discuss how counterfeit parts enter the electronics supply chain, the potential impact of recent government regulations on OEMs, component suppliers and distributors, and best practices and collaborative activities that minimize incidents in the supply chain.
