Named a "Master of Design" by Fast Company in 2010 and the winner of the Cooper Hewitt Design Award in 2013, Gadi shares his passion for bucking technology trends and implementing beautiful design. Today he's working with the best and the brightest tech firms to create new technologies that will come to light in the next six to 18 months.
"As Wearables and the Internet of Things become increasingly mainstream, design grows exponentially more important in enabling mass adoption," said Gadi Amit, founder of NewDealDesign. "We believe that great design sparks lasting change, and great design means taking risks beyond technology utility to inspire an experience that is both personal and meaningful to humanity. I'm excited to discuss this at the Designers of Things conference in San Francisco."
Designers of Things will welcome Gadi Amit to the keynote stage on September 23, 2014. His keynote will give attendees an insider's look into the world of design and innovation, specifically examining the intersection of wearable tech, 3D printing and the ever-evolving internet of things (IoT). In this keynote, Gadi will dive into how he works from the inside out, blending the practical with the magical to disrupt markets for global brands and transform unknown start-ups into success stories.
"Gadi Amit's impact on the innovative tech and design industries is unparalleled," explained Katie Stern, Event Director, Designers of Things. "We are thrilled to welcome him to our inaugural event not only for his produced successes, but for the message and inspiration to go beyond your limits he will undoubtedly impart on our attendees. The design world is all about change and thinking creatively, both of which Gadi can effectively speak to and demonstrate."
