NEW YORK, Aug. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Black Hat USA 2014 security conference kicks off this week in Las Vegas, and the editors of Dark Reading are planning additional coverage of this year's show, including a live radio broadcast from the showroom floor – the first ever for the Dark Reading website.
In a blog post, editor-in-chief Tim Wilson offers a detailed summary of what Dark Reading plans to offer readers this week from the conference. In addition to the more than 30 pieces of content already posted on the site, the editors have created a special "Black Hat" landing page that aggregates all the content from this year's show.
This special coverage will kick off Tuesday, Aug. 5, when Wilson and editor Kelly Jackson Higgins will host live interviews with top security industry speakers at the annual Black Hat Executive Summit.
On Wednesday, Aug. 6, Dark Reading will host its first ever live radio broadcast from Black Hat. Among the special guests scheduled to appear are Jim Reavis, co-founder of the Cloud Security Alliance, and Tom Cross, director of security research at Lancope.
Finally, on Thursday, Aug. 7, Dark Reading will host two special workshops on security research. The topics will include "The Future of Responsible Disclosure" and "Attribution: What It Means For Enterprise Security."
