UBM Tech Announces All-New Embedded Systems Conference (ESC) and Expo Event Series for 2015
Boston and Minneapolis added to Silicon Valley in lineup of regions hosting the ESC "Embedded Everywhere" USA Conference and Expo in 2015
Sep 18, 2014
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- UBM Tech today announced plans to launch two new and redesigned Embedded Systems Conference/Expo (ESC) events in the U.S. in 2015. ESC will expand its North American portfolio to include dynamic events in both Boston and Minneapolis. These additions join an already successful lineup that includes events in Silicon Valley, Bangalore, India, and Sao Paulo, Brazil. ESC events provide an innovative approach to continuing education for embedded systems designers and technical professionals involved in designing electronics products and systems. Attendees will hear from industry leading speakers and get an insider's look into the latest tools and technologies in the business. This series of events will replace the planned EE Live! Silicon Valley event as well as Design West/East, while expanding the number of venues for professional growth and development in the embedded systems space for 2015. "On the one hand, the proliferation of low-cost, easy-to-use design and development tools and components puts embedded systems design within reach of more users, while on the other hand embedded systems at the high end are getting more complex," said Field, "We want to expose this growing community—both experienced designers and those new to the field— to the latest technologies in a personal, exciting way that helps to solve their immediate challenges and gives them a head start on their designs."
Center stage at all three North American ESC events will be the all-new Fantastical Hall of Engineering Innovation. Here, attendees will experience first-hand the tools and technologies that are transforming the entire embedded product development process. Each event will also feature a demo hall with leading vendors/suppliers, and also offer a schedule of supplier/vendor training sessions open to all attendee pass types.
Designed to provide a deeply immersive, hands-on educational experience for attendees, these new halls will feature live demos, speed training sessions, technology "bars," micro-workshops, code hacking and design competitions, as well as spontaneous "pop-up" training sessions run by practicing engineers.
EE Times will also bring its Fantastical Theater of Engineering Curiosities to each regional event, delivering a full program of 30-minute sessions ranging from live product teardowns and demos of highly unique and one-of-a-kind gadgets to super-speedy training classes.
The ESC brand is growing stronger than ever with the goal to attract a high-quality profile of systems engineering management and staff and OEM decision makers in North America, and re-establish continuity with the ESC branded events in India and Brazil.
The ESC USA event series in 2015 takes place on the East Coast, Midwest, and West Coast:
- ESC Boston: May 6-7, 2015; Boston Convention and Exhibition Center
- ESC Silicon Valley: July 20-22, 2015; Santa Clara, CA
- ESC Minneapolis: November 4-5, 2015; Minneapolis Convention Center
