Founder and President of the J. Craig Venter Institute and the J. Craig Venter Science Foundation, he is a visionary in the field of genomic research and was instrumental in the massive 13-year project which mapped the human genome. Venter will discuss the technology infrastructure and process optimization techniques, including BPO, PM, BI, and systems management, that worked to such great success on a grand scale. The former CEO of Celera Genomics, Venter has been in the news recently, pioneering molecular and genomic methods to develop biological sources of clean energy.
