CMP Media's InformationWeek announced today from its 15th Annual InformationWeek Conference plans to increase its magazine circulation to one half million business technology buyers. In addition to 440,000 qualified IT buyers who receive the print magazine weekly, InformationWeek will now be delivered to an additional 60,000 subscribers via digital delivery, starting with the October 3rd issue. This circulation increase further propels InformationWeek Magazine's status as the largest controlled publication in the IT market.

InformationWeek also announced the launch of its newly redesigned magazine -- a move focused around the goal of leading and redefining the role of print newsweeklies. The design and content changes enhance the experience of its 500,000 subscribers -- business technology executives who count on the InformationWeek brand to provide them with the news analysis, authoritative perspective, and peer research to set their agenda and make smart, timely decisions.

InformationWeek is also launching a redesign of its website that maps directly to the way IT decision-makers use and consume the plethora of online resources next month. In the last months, the award-winning informationweek.com website has launched a series of new media offerings including video shows such as The News Show and Inside InformationWeek, as well as a host of highly-trafficked blogs, webcasts and other interactive tools.

"All of these investments are a clear reflection of InformationWeek's leadership role as the largest, most influential community of IT buyers and providers in the market," says Scott Vaughan, publisher of InformationWeek. "Our new web-based digital delivery approach provides additional value to our content customers and technology partners to meet their evolving information consumption and cross media needs."

Digital delivery's interactive format allows users a myriad of capabilities including the ability to cache, read and perform searches within InformationWeek issues wherever and whenever it's convenient for them. The expansion of the InformationWeek community is in lockstep with recent numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics which state that IT employment has returned to 2001 levels -- additionally, they cite an emerging business technology executive talent shortage.

"Today's multimedia publishing industry has transformed the way business technology professionals access and utilize information. Our community relies on InformationWeek's cross-media resources to filter the most important news and guide them to relevant content to help them achieve their long and short term business goals," says Stephanie Stahl, editor-in-chief of InformationWeek.

This announcement comes as the 15th annual Fall Conference being held at The Westin Mission Hills Resort and Spa in Rancho Mirage, CA draws to a close. Hundreds of the business technology industry's top executives, luminaries, academics and vendors -- including Hewlett-Packard, Intel and Microsoft among others -- gathered to discuss and debate today's most critical and topical business and IT issues. This November, InformationWeek China will launch its First Annual Conference in Beijing. For more information on InformationWeek Conferences, go to http://www.informationweekconference.com/.
