Today, TechWeb (formerly CMP) announced Veodia as the winner of the Enterprise 2.0 Conference Launch Pad competition. Launch Pad is a live public forum created for unveiling new social tools within the enterprise and the final vote took place yesterday at the Enterprise 2.0 Conference at the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel. More information can be found at http://www.enterprise2conf.com/.
With a new twist this year, Launch Pad participants posted videos to the Enterprise 2.0 Conference Launch Pad site to showcase their new product or service. Attendees voted online and selected five finalists. Yesterday, the finalists, Aegeon, GroupSwim, NewsGator, Project SocialSite and Veodia, debuted their new 2.0 tools and services to the Enterprise 2.0 Conference audience, who then participated via live vote to select Veodia as the winner. The Launch Pad program was sponsored by Open Text and hosted by Stowe Boyd, an internationally recognized authority on social applications and their impact on business and society.
"Attendance this year has exceeded our expectations thanks to such things as Launch Pad and the innovative companies that made it a success," said Steve Wylie, General Manager and Conference Director of the Enterprise 2.0 Conference. "We congratulate Veodia on their big win. Everyone played an important role this week in successfully moving the needle on the shift to and awareness of Enterprise 2.0."
