VoiceCon® San Francisco, produced by TechWeb, today announced new Conference elements and another keynote speaker -- Phil Fasano, CIO of Kaiser Permanente. This year VoiceCon is focused on the hard dollar and payback realities of building and managing enterprise communications platforms. VoiceCon San Francisco 2008 will be held November 10-13 at the Moscone North Convention Center.
VoiceCon San Francisco will feature a new, special two-part series of sessions focused on cutting the corporate energy bill taking place Monday, November 10. Part One examines options for reducing IT's spending on energy and Part Two analyzes the technologies, products and services that can reduce overall energy spending within the enterprise. VoiceCon this year offers additional insight with the VoiceCon User Forum, which takes place Wednesday, November 12. The User Forum will present case studies about decision-making for migrating to new communications infrastructures, architectures and services; the speakers will discuss benefits and problems, offering real-world perspective and advice through their experience.
"Faced with the economic turmoil of today, VoiceCon will shine the spotlight on real customers and their strategies for maneuvering through the current climate," said Fred Knight, VoiceCon General Manager. "We're pleased to present VoiceCon User Forums, the new two-part series on cutting the corporate energy bill and certainly look forward to having Phil Fasano join us to talk about Kaiser's extensive enterprise communications migration strategy."
Phil Fasano, CIO of Kaiser Permanente, the largest managed health organization in the U.S., will describe the decision factors and implementation realities involved with migrating more than 30 locations to IP Telephony and Unified Communications . Fasano joins a keynote lineup at VoiceCon San Francisco that includes: Charlie Giancarlo, Chief Executive Officer, Avaya; Betsy Frost Webb, General Manager, Unified Communications Marketing, Microsoft; and Bruce Morse, VP of Unified Communications & Collaboration Software, IBM.

VoiceCon is both a conference and an exhibition, and VoiceCon San Francisco will present the major equipment suppliers and service providers in enterprise IP Telephony and Unified Communications. VoiceCon Exhibition gathers together the leading vendors in one location.
