Enterprise Connect Announces Winners of Third Annual Innovation Showcase

SAN FRANCISCO, March 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Enterprise Connect, produced by UBM Tech, today announced the winners of its annual Innovation Showcase competition.  The four winners will present their ideas and approaches during opening general sessions at Enterprise Connect Orlando at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 18. The Innovation Showcase features revolutionary startup companies with solutions helping businesses communicate and collaborate more effectively. To be eligible, applicant companies must cite at least one customer currently using the nominated product or service and have revenues of less than $3.5 million. Competition judges selected Innovation Showcase winners based on the potential of the company's new idea, product, or service to advance enterprise communications and/or collaboration.

Selected from over 20 submissions, this year's winners include:

• Nexistant, a leading edge developer and provider of virtual reception and remote expert videoconferencing applications
• Plivo, a highly scalable and feature-rich voice and messaging platform wrapped with flexible APIs and backed by 24/7 support
• Scoop App, a collaborative issue management and support system that lets staff and customers record and describe any issue from their mobile device
• UberConference, a next generation audio conferencing service with a unique, visual interface

The Enterprise Connect Innovation Showcase was coordinated by Dave Michels, a frequent contributor to NoJitter.com, Enterprise Connect's editorial website. In addition to Michels, the Innovation Showcase competition judging panel consisted of enterprise communications experts, including customers and industry analysts.
