CMP Media's Embedded Systems Conference (ESC) (www.embedded.com/esc/sv), the world's largest event of its kind, officially opens today in Silicon Valley, gathering more than 10,000 of the industry's brightest minds to partake in "The Power of Brain Power" through April 5th, 2007 at San Jose's McEnery Convention Center. For the first time ever, a teardown team will take apart a Toyota Prius on the ESC SV show floor, so attendees can take a look at the electronics inside that power this revolutionary hybrid vehicle. The six modules of the Prius that will be examined include the User Interface/Dash Module, Airbag Control Module, Satellite Navigation System/DVD, Inverter/Converter, Engine Control Module and Skid Control Module.
