CMP Media LLC today announced new program highlights at the Embedded Systems Conference San Francisco, including a new Microprocessor Summit, two keynote speeches, the inaugural EE Times ACE Awards, and a brand new design series that will enhance the conference's more than 250 combined training programs and design seminars. The 2005 Embedded Systems Conference San Francisco will be held March 6-10, 2005, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

Keynote Addresses:

On Tuesday, March 8, Dilbert cartoon creator Scott Adams will entertain fellow engineers in the keynote address. Later in the day, Wind River President and CEO Ken Klein will deliver a "State of the Engineer" address, discussing how dramatic changes in the marketplace are impacting embedded systems engineers.

NEW Microprocessor Summit Showcases Latest Architectures and Devices:

On Monday, March 7, at the Argent Hotel, CMP Media will host the Microprocessor Summit, a forum for semiconductor companies to introduce and demonstrate new embedded processors, microcontrollers and digital signal processors.

EE Times ACE Awards:

On Wednesday, March 9, the inaugural EE Times Annual Creativity in Electronics (ACE) Awards Gala will be held recognizing people, companies and products that demonstrate leadership in the electronics industry. The EE Times ACE Awards will honor Gordon Moore, co-founder and chairman emeritus of Intel Corporation, with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his role in transforming a once-small business segment into a monumental industry. In addition, the EE Times ACE Awards will celebrate electronics industry leaders in a number of award categories, including: Innovator of the Year; Design Team of the Year; Emerging Company of the Year; and Most Promising New Technology.

  Design Seminar Series:

This year, the technical program for the 2005 Embedded Systems Conference San Francisco will feature a new design seminar series that will enhance the conference's educational forums. The Design Seminar Series, which includes seven seminars focused on emerging technology sectors and enabling technologies, will address the needs of design engineers and technology managers. New seminar titles include: "Analog and Power"; "DSP Performance"; "Easy Paths to Silicon"; "Consumer Systems"; "3G Cellular System"; "Wireless Networking" and "Network Systems."
