Industry Leading Keynote Speakers Will Reflect on Growth of Embedded Systems Over the Last 20 Years at TechInsights ESC Silicon Valley 2008

TechInsights today announced the keynote speaker line-up and Master of Ceremonies for its 2008 Embedded Systems Conference Silicon Valley. Each speaker will provide reflections on the growth of the Embedded Systems Industry in the last 20 years in celebration of the conference's 20th anniversary.
Jack Ganssle, frequent contributor to Embedded Systems Design and Embedded.com and founder of three electronics companies; including one of the world's leading producers of embedded development tools, will take the reigns as Master of Ceremonies for this year's keynote presentation, to be held April 15, 2008 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose.
Under the theme "Celebrating 20 years of Embedded," ESC Silicon Valley will feature a multimedia Keynote Address, with a host of industry experts, authorities, inventors and creators:
-- Jim Ready, president and CEO of MontaVista and developer of the first viable commercial RTOS product -- PJ Plauger, president of Dinkumware and senior editor of The C/C++ Users Journal and Contributing Editor to Embedded Systems Programming -- Dr. Bjarne Stroustrup, the designer and original implementer of C++ and the author of "The C++ Programming Language" and The Design and Evolution of C++ -- Nick Tredennick, designer of the microprocessor that later became the central processor for the original Apple Macintosh -- John Wharton, designer of the world's first 8048-based keyboard controller and automobile carburetor. He went on to design the eight- bit microcontroller that became the 8051 -- Paul Saffo, a forecaster, professor and fellow of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences at Stanford University.
