CMP Technology's Electronics Group today announced the launch of the print edition of EE Times Europe ( http://www.eetimes.eu/ ) with the September 1-17 issue providing both global and local news and analysis to the creators of technology in Europe. The bi- weekly print and digital edition rounds out the integrated media offering that includes the pan-European Web site and email newsletters, launched in June, that covers seven regional European markets in English and local languages.

"EE Times Europe is a 'next generation' publication," said Richard Wallace, editor-in-chief of EE Times Europe and vice president and editorial director of the CMP Technology Electronics Group. "With a hard-news, online editorial team at its core, and a strong technology-driven publishing base in Brussels, EE Times Europe integrates print, online and digital media -- and the global EE Times editorial organization -- to bring its readers unprecedented news, design, technology, products and business coverage from across Europe, Silicon Valley, Asia and around the world."

The English-only EE Times Europe print and digital edition has an initial circulation of 55,000, making it the largest electronics industry news publication in Europe. Editorial content includes locally generated European staff copy as well as coverage and analysis from the US version of EE Times. New products coverage from the former Electronics-Express monthly tabloid is now a featured section of EE Times Europe and is an integral part of EE Times Europe Online.

First issue highlights include an exclusive cover story and interview with Carlo Bozotti, president and CEO, STMicroelectronics, titled "Europe Finds a Voice for the Global Era"; an in-depth News section with coverage from Eastern Europe, Russia, Israel, Malaysia, China and Silicon Valley; and the Design Currents section with articles and papers from industry experts focusing on trends, best practices and advances in new systems and chip architectures and tools and methodologies on leading edge designs.

The launch of EE Times Europe is being led by Richard Wallace, a 30-year industry veteran. Other members of the European editorial team include Peter Clarke, Colin Holland, Christoph Hammerschmidt in Germany; John Walko in the UK; Henri Arnold and Jean-Pierre Joosting in Belgium; and Anne-Francoise Pele in France. In addition to its dedicated editorial team, EE Times Europe draws upon editorial contributions from around the world and across Europe, including contributing online editorial agreements with Electronik i Norden in Sweden; Technologies Magazine in Israel; and Electronintorg.com in Russia that bring exclusive content to readers from these key technology centers.

Sales and editorial operations are based in Brussels.
