EE Times Group is partnering with UBM Brazil to bring South America's designers, technologists, business leaders and suppliers together at ESC Brazil. The event, which will offer both a conference program and exposition, is scheduled to take place May 24-25, 2011 in Sao Paulo at the Novotel Center Norte.

According to the Associacao Brasileira da industria eletrica e eletronica), eletroeletronic industry sales grew 17 percent in the first quarter of 2010 compared with the same period last year and increased 3 percent of 2008 first quarter sales.

The addition of ESC Brazil strengthens EE Times Group's position as the premier media and events resource in the global electronics industry. The launch of ESC Brazil continues to increase UBM's South American portfolio. In June 2010, UBM acquired the remaining equity in PR Newswire Brazil and PR Newswire Argentina from the respective private joint venture partners and also signed an agreement to acquire a 60 percent interest in Navalshore, a Brazilian shipbuilding industry tradeshow and conference, from its private owners.
