Yoshida will present the "Beyond the Page: Essential Editorial Strategies that will Define Your Future" session on Wednesday, June 9 at 3:35 PM. She will discuss the evolution of the editor's role in the era of social media and 24/7 connectivity. Yoshida will address the fundamental differences in editorial organizations and the responsibilities of the day to day activities. In addition, she will discuss the increasing importance of two-way conversation - with the emphasis on how immediate interaction with and among readers will make reporters and editors more responsible, more responsive and, truer to their audiences.

Yoshida has nearly 30 years of domestic and international journalism experience, with expertise in news, a range of technologies, business reporting and editorial management. Yoshida has been employed by EE Times in increasingly significant editorial positions over the past ten years, including assistant Tokyo bureau chief, European bureau chief based in Paris and West Coast bureau chief. In her current role as editor-in-chief of both online and print, she is responsible for the overall management of Internet and print content as well as guiding EE Times editorial staff and expediting essential information to the electronics industry. Yoshida was a key player in the globalization of EE Times, whose unsurpassed news content is published in North America, Europe, China, Korea, Taiwan, Asia and Japan In addition, Yoshida drove the expansion of EE Times' consumer electronics coverage. As a reporter, Yoshida, broke a number of stories on the emergence of MPEG, digital TV, DVD formats and underlying digital technologies. She also pioneered coverage of intellectual property, patent pooling, RFID-related technology and privacy protection issues. Prior to EE Times, Yoshida was with JVC (Victor Company of Japan) based in Tokyo where she served as a principle liaison with the foreign press. An AFS-sponsored foreign exchange student in high school in West Hartford, Connecticut, Yoshida earned her B.A. in Social Science from Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo.
