Apr 21, 2010

EE Times Group, a UBM company and the daily source of essential business and technical information for the electronics industry's decision makers, today announced that it presented a virtual conference, entitled "Designing with ARM: Engineering an optimal ARM-based System" last month with a high level of engagement by ARM designers. Presented by John Donovan, Editor/Publisher, Low-Power Design and Rich Nass, Editorial Director, EE Times Group, the virtual conference offered the most complete collection of content assembled on all things related to ARM processor-based design.

The virtual conference was the most successful virtual event EE Times Group has produced to date. The conference drew 4,500 registrations and over 1,300 attendees. In addition, attendees spent more than 144 minutes at the event with more than 550 attending the keynote presentation and subsequent educational sessions averaging 430 attendees each.

In a virtual setting, users were provided the opportunity to access industry experts and technology providers via keynote speeches, webinars, educational sessions, live interactive chats, active movement in and out of exhibit booths and sessions, vendor presentations, access to the EE Times library of embedded resources, contests and more.

"We have produced many successful virtual events in the past. However, the level of engagement for this event was outstanding - it exceeded our expectations," said David Blaza, VP Embedded and Events of EE Times Group. "The virtual event enabled ARM developers to find the information and design solutions necessary for their business, easily and conveniently through a virtual environment. We recently announced that we will serve as the strategic event partner for the ARM Technology Conference - the premier stage to connect, instruct, advise, and enable the world of electronic and computer design - we look forward to continuing to provide the ARM ecosystem with the editorial content to produce a world class event."

ARM Virtual Conference sponsors included ARM, Cadence, CoWare, Cypress, Design-Reuse, Isilon, NXP, Sonics, and Synopsys.

The virtual conference is available on demand until September 10, 2010 and can be found online at: For more information about EE Times Virtual Conferences contact Christian Fahlen at or 415.947.6623.
