CMP Technology announced today the promotion of Richard Nass to editor in chief of Embedded Systems Design and editorial director of Embedded Systems Conferences and effective immediately. He will be responsible for editorial direction and leadership of CMP's fully integrated embedded portfolio -- Embedded Systems Design, Embedded Systems Conference (ESC) and

Most recently, Nass was managing editor of CMP Electronics Group's popular online DesignLine series. Before joining CMP, he spent six years as the editor in chief of Portable Design magazine, driving the editorial to new heights while launching a magazine and technical conference in China. Nass also previously served as a technology editor with Electronic Design magazine and earned a BSEE degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
