EE Times Group, a UBM company and the daily source of essential business and technical information for the electronics industry's decision makers, and producers of EE Times, Embedded.com, and the global Embedded Systems Conferences, along with UBM conferences such as Web 2.0 and the Game Developer Conference today announced that it has been chosen to serve as the strategic event partner to coordinate the ARM Technology Conference (known in 2009 as ARM Techcon(3)), the premier stage to connect, instruct, advise, and enable the world of electronic and computer design. EE Times Group and ARM have agreed in principle to the terms of the partnership and are currently in the process of negotiating a definitive, multi-year agreement with respect to the event. The annual conference, which focuses on the ARM ecosystem and the multitude of embedded systems designers, specifically enables the designer to leverage expertise from a vast array of vendors in all phases of the product development cycle, from hardware design through software and application development. ARM Technology Conference is scheduled to take place November 9-11, 2010 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.

ARM [(LSE: ARM); (NASDAQ: ARMH)] designs the technology (or IP) that lies at the heart of advanced digital products, from wireless, networking, and consumer entertainment solutions to imaging, automotive, security, and storage devices. According to the 2009 EE Times Group Embedded Market Study, 43 percent of respondents are considering using ARM-based processors for their next design. This represents a near 23 percent increase from the similar 2008 study, and is ten percentage points ahead of the next most popular processor vendor.

"In partnering with EE Times Group, the ARM Community will gain the professional events experience which brings our industry the global Embedded Systems Conferences event franchise, as well as the editorial quality, audience reach, and brand power of EE Times. This will provide the marketing muscle, event management and technical expertise we need to grow this event in 2010 and beyond," said Ian Drew, EVP Marketing, ARM.

"At over 650 members, the ARM Connected CommunityTM is one of the largest, and strongest, ecosystems in the electronics industry. The level of collaboration within the ecosystem is enabling innovation across market application areas, and as a result ARM Technology Conference is a leading event with an unparalleled scope and reach across markets and disciplines," said Paul Miller, CEO, EE Times Group. "We are excited to match the level of innovation within the ARM Community with our own dedication to technology innovation at EE Times Group. ARM chose to partner with us based on the innovative ideas we created to bolster this event. We look forward to working closely with ARM and their partner community to deliver extraordinary events."

The ARM Technology Conference provides hands-on tutorials and presentations on the latest trends, design strategies, tools, and in-depth knowledge about achieving the highest level of market differentiation in ARM technology-based products. The event will also provide a variety of workshops, panel discussions, demonstrations, and exhibitions to fully immerse the attendee in strategies for designing with the ARM architecture.

The education level -- ranging from beginner to expert -- will be taught by ARM Connected Community Partners, ARM and EE Times Group editorial, which includes a host of world-renowned instructors. Conference tracks will cover critical topics including software development, system design, low power design, 32-bit MCUs, Android, Chrome OS, smartbooks/netbooks, e-readers, Internet everywhere, multicore, efficient SoC design, and much more.

EE Times Group plans to create innovative programs that will take place with the event. They include:

-- Build Your Own ARM-Based System. Based on EE Times Group's successful
'Build Your Own Embedded System' track that takes place annually at
ESC Silicon Valley, ARM Technology Conference 2010 will showcase an
ARM-based adaptation of the hands-on technical session.
-- ARM Community Theatre. The on-the-show-floor theater will showcase
live tear downs, case studies, presentations by EE Times content
experts as well as senior technical staff from ARM and the ARM
      Connected Community.
-- Meet the Design Team Case Studies. Hosted in the ARM Community
theatre, ARM partners will showcase expanded tear downs where design
teams will provide conference attendees with designs and provide
detailed information how they overcame complicated design problems.
-- Content Focused Days. Targeted at ARM silicon partners and ARM
      developers.

In addition, EE Times Group will assemble an Advisory Board that will advise on industry trends, content and the overall development of the event.
