To Produce Special Digital Issue on How the Earthquake and Tsunami has Impacted Japan; Profit of Digital Issue to be Donated to the American Red Cross

SAN FRANCISCO, March 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The devastating events that have transpired in Japan have and are still unfolding with the world watching.  UBM Electronics, a UBM company and the daily source of essential business and technical information for the electronics industry's decision makers, today announced that it will produce a special digital issue that covers how the recent earthquake and tsunami have impacted Japan – its people, business and industry.  In an effort to provide assistance to the Japanese, 100 percent of the profits will be donated through the American Red Cross relief funds.

The content of the special issue, entitled "The Day the Lights Went Out in Japan" will focus on the loss of electric power and its devastating consequences. The special issue will be published on March 28, 2011.  Stories in the issue include:

  • How the next-generation power grid needs to be designed

Advertising positions will be full page and half page only.
