Electrical Engineering and Communications Expert Rich Pell Joins UBM Electronics as Executive Editor, EDN and Designlines

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- UBM Electronics, a UBM company and the daily source of essential business and technical information for the electronics industry's decision makers, today announced that electrical engineering and communications expert Rich Pell has joined UBM Electronics as the Executive Editor of EDN and Designlines. In this position Pell will be responsible for collaborating with editorial, marketing, and web development to grow EDN and Designlines as well as the development of the EDN website redesign.
Prior to UBM Electronics, Pell was a freelance technical editor for UBM's Audio Designline and helped launch and currently still runs Embedded Internet Designline. Earlier in his career Pell held a variety of editorial positions with Hearst Business Media and was the editor in chief of Electronic Products Magazine and its related website. Prior, Pell was an options/future trader at the American and New York Stock Exchanges and an electrical engineer with General Electric Company. Pell earned a B.S.E.E. and B.S. in Public Communications from Syracuse University.
