By tracking and analyzing the online activity of a select network of influencers and thought leaders with deep knowledge in a particular subject area, EE Buzz delivers highly relevant content and information within categories of key interest to the electronics design community.

EE Buzz consists of a real-time feed that displays the summaries and images of the content with the most buzz and the network of influencers who cited or commented on it through social media. Users can click through to read the article in its entirety and follow each individual influencer's network, comments, and trending discussions.

"By leveraging the wisdom of the crowd, EE Buzz increases the ability of UBM Electronics to deliver the most highly relevant, engaging content to the electronics design community," said UBM Electronics' Senior VP Content, Karen Field. "By tapping into a network of influencers and subject experts and extracting the most talked-about news and information, we will help to increase the signal-to-noise ratio for design engineers who cope with a barrage of information coming at them. Leveraging the knowledge and insight of relevant social media communities on EE Times and our other media properties, EE Buzz reinforces our strategy of providing unique and compelling content and engagement with our community."

UBM Electronics will launch additional categories of interest to design engineers on the EE Buzz platform, including embedded, analog, and test in early 2012.

EE Buzz runs on the R88R software platform built by Sociative Inc.
