UBM Americas Executives Named to the Folio 100
Sally Shankland Named a "Visionary" and Kelley Damore Named a "Content Connoisseur"

NEW YORK, Oct. 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- UBM Americas announced that CEO Sally Shankland has been named a "Visionary" and Chief Community Officer Kelley Damore has been named a "Content Connoisseur" on the Folio 100 list. Folio's list salutes the most influential and impactful media innovators and entrepreneurs annually.
Shankland and Damore will both be honored on October 21, 2014 at the Folio 100 Awards Luncheon during the MediaNext Conference at the Marriott Marquis in New York City.

Shankland is CEO of UBM Americas which includes UBM Tech, UBM Canon, UBM Medica, UBM NY Group, UBM Mexico and, effective January 2015, UBM Brazil. She was most recently CEO of UBM Connect. Prior, Shankland was CEO of UBM Medica US. Shankland joined UBM in 1988 and held successive positions in marketing, sales and management. She led UBM Medica US's successful transition from a print-based publishing business to its position as one of the leading digital marketing services businesses serving the US healthcare market. Sally is a graduate of UBM's Business Leaders Programme (2001 & 2011) and has completed executive development courses with Harvard Business School and Cornell University. She graduated from San Francisco State University with a B.A. (Summa Cum Laude, Honors) in Social Science following being educated in Italy and Germany.
Damore has helped build technology's most impressive media brands for more than 20 years. As UBM Tech's Chief Community Officer, she oversees editorial operations and strategy for UBM Tech's portfolio of community sites and also executes on the vision of producing premier content across online and live events, while expanding and enhancing the company's online communities. Prior, Damore served as SVP and Editorial Director for CRN, where she worked closely with senior management to re-launch the site and spearhead a mobile app strategy. Earlier, she was Editorial Director of TechTarget's Security Media properties. Previously, Damore held writing positions at InfoWorld and PC Week, and served as Director of Creative Services and Constituency Building at non-profit Oxfam America. Damore has won dozens of editorial awards. She holds a bachelor's degree from the College of the Holy Cross and a master's degree from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.
