Software Development Industry Luminaries Set to Keynote at SD Best Practices 2004

Industry Experts Kent Beck, Tom Demarco and Ivar Jacobson to Address Attendees

CMP Media's SD Events Group today announced the names of the exceptional industry experts chosen to keynote at their East Coast conference SD Best Practices. Excitement is mounting in anticipation for the second year of this conference, slated for September 20 - 23rd, in Boston, MA.

  This year's dynamic keynote lineup includes:

  -- Kent Beck is the Founder of Extreme Programming and an industry
     renowned author. Mr. Beck will explore extreme programming in the
     industry and its future. His keynote address is on Tuesday,
     September 21, at 12:30 p.m.
  -- Tom Demarco, Principal of the Atlantic Systems Guild, Author and
     Lecturer, will discuss risk management. Mr. Demarco's address will
     focus on the how-to's of risk management and how to include the
     discipline in organizations. His keynote is scheduled for Monday,
     September 20 at 12:30 p.m.
  -- Ivar Jacobson is the Founder of Jaczone and known as the father of
     components, the Unified Modeling Language and the Rational Unified
     Process. Mr. Jacobson will talk about modeling solutions including use
     cases and aspects and how they can work together. His keynote is
     scheduled for Thursday, September 23, at 12:30 p.m.

Along with these visionary keynote addresses, SD Best Practices attendees can chose from among 100 conference sessions in management, languages, emerging technologies and process to attend. Outside of class, business case study presentations, roundtables, panels and other exciting events are planned.
