CMP Media's SD Events Group today announced the speaker lineup for its upcoming Software Development Conference and Expo (SD East 2002) at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, November 18 - 22. SD East faculty is made up of top software development experts including well-known authors, professors, business leaders and visionaries from all corners of the development world. This year's keynote lineup includes:

  -- James Gosling, the creator of the Java programming language, will
     discuss the future of end-to-end systems and how the stability of the
     Java language and the diversity of the Java platform have helped enable
     this innovation. Mr. Gosling is presenting the featured keynote,
     November 20 at 6 p.m.
  -- Gregor Kiczales, Principal Scientist at PARC and chief designer of
     AspectJ, will discuss what it is like to design and implement with
     AspectJ, and the implications for software developers in terms of
     time-to-market, software quality and product flexibility. Mr. Kiczales
     is presenting the opening keynote, November 18 at 12:15 p.m.
  -- Bob Kruger, Chief Technology Officer at Citrix Systems, will share his
     vision of the virtual workplace and how virtual access will shape the
     way business-critical applications are developed, today and tomorrow.
     Mr. Kruger is presenting a technical keynote, November 19 at 12:15 p.m.
  -- John Magee, Vice President of Oracle9i Marketing at Oracle, will
     examine the impact Web Services has on two previously distinct worlds
     -- J2EE development and EAI/B2B integration. Mr. Magee's technical
     keynote will be presented November 20 at 3 p.m.

In concert with these dynamic keynote addresses, SD East offers more than 100 sessions designed to educate attendees about the latest trends in programming languages, enterprise development, project management and Web Services.
