CMP Media's Intelligent Enterprise Announces 2006 Editors' Choice Winners
Top Companies Enable Customers to Build and Manage Strategic Business Applications
May 1, 2006
Intelligent Enterprise today announced the results of its 2006 Editors' Choice Awards. In the eighth annual selections, the editors chose 60 companies that provide exceptional vision, technology innovation and customer leadership in attaining strategic objectives with business intelligence, process management, SOA and more.
From this selection of the industry's 60 hottest product and solution providers, the editors named an elite 12, proclaiming them the "Intelligent Enterprise Dozen." This year's dozen are: BEA, Business Objects, Celequest, EMC, Hyperion, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Progress Software, Savvion, SAS and Teradata (a division of NCR).
Beyond the Dozen, Intelligent Enterprise editors highlighted 48 companies as leading "Companies to Watch" across six key categories: business intelligence, business process management, enterprise applications, information integration, information management and performance management. Among those selected as leading Companies to Watch are Cognos, Information Builders, Informatica, Lombardi Software, Mark Logic and SAP AG.
A complete list of this year's honorees appears in the May 2006 issue of Intelligent Enterprise and on the Web site http://www.intelligententerprise.com/editorschoice.
"Every year, we sift through our editorial coverage, reviews and research, including discussions with our top contributing writers and editors, and make our selections," said David Stodder, editor-in-chief, Intelligent Enterprise. "Determining which companies to spotlight is always tough; we look beyond just financial performance to consider a range of leadership qualities. In our results, sometimes the smaller, innovative providers are more influential in the creation of 'intelligent' enterprises than the big software behemoths. We offer our congratulations to all 60 companies awarded."
