InformationWeek Announces New Advisory Board Members; CIOs from Sunoco and Chiquita Brands International Appointed to Help Guide InformationWeek's Growth and Strategy

TechWeb's InformationWeek, the market-leading business technology media brand, today announced two new members to its Advisory Board, an external group of executives that help InformationWeek identify and shape the brand's direction. The new Advisory Board members are:

  -- Manjit Singh, VP and CIO, Chiquita Brands International
         Mr. Singh has been Vice President and Chief Information
          Officer at Chiquita Brands International since September
          2006. From April 2006 to September 2006, Mr. Singh was
          Chiquita's Vice President, Corporate and Commercial IT. From
          May 2002 to April 2006, Mr. Singh was Director, Asia Pacific
          Business Systems and Regional Chief Information Officer in
          Singapore for The Gillette Company (which was acquired in
          October 2005 by the Procter & Gamble Company). He had
          previously been employed by Broadwing Corp, a
          telecommunications company, from February 2001 to January
          2002 as Director, Strategic Alliances.
  -- Peter Whatnell, CIO, Sunoco
         Mr. Whatnell joined Sunoco as CIO in November 2001 to develop
          and lead the company's IT renewal strategy. Prior to that he
          spent 17 years with Texaco, where he served as Head of IT
          Europe in London, and then moved to the USA in 1995, serving
          in several corporate director positions covering IS,
          Telecommunications, Advanced Technology Services, and ERP.
          Mr. Whatnell was also a member of Texaco's global technology
          policy and strategy team, and General Manager IT in the
          shared services company for Texaco, Shell and Saudi Refining
          Inc. He is also a past president of the influential Society
          for Information Management (SIM).
