CMP's InformationWeek has teamed with AvantGo, Inc. to provide handheld and Internet-enabled phone users access to its popular e-mail newsletter service, InformationWeek Daily.

"Users derive tremendous value from InformationWeek Daily's unique editorial content," said Mike Friedenberg, Publisher of InformationWeek.

Increasing demand for InformationWeek Daily resulted in a circulation increase for InformationWeek Daily from 150,000 to 200,000 qualified subscribers in June and prompted InformationWeek's decision to develop two new e-newsletters -- Bizmodel.com and Between the Lines -- which launch later this month.

The new channel of distribution offered by AvantGo's free service allows Palm OS, Windows CE and web-enabled phone users to download and access InformationWeek Daily's breaking news coverage, stock quotes and calendar of upcoming IT events.

"Working with AvantGo opens up an entirely new channel of distribution for us. It allows road warriors to harness the power of InformationWeek and to stay on top of industry news whether they're traveling or simply don't have access to their desktops," said Friedenberg.
