CMP Media's InformationWeek Enhances Mobile Newsletter
Breaking Business and IT News Updated Every 30 Minutes to AvantGo Mobile Internet Service Subscribers
Jul 16, 2001
Enhancing the value of its InformationWeek Daily Mobile Edition, InformationWeek today announced that its mobile newsletter will provide breaking news updates every half hour. The Mobile Edition, which has been featured on the AvantGo mobile Internet service since August 2000, had previously been updated once a day.
InformationWeek Daily Mobile Edition focuses on the needs of business technology professionals and provides PDA users with access to the most up-to-date business and IT-related news and information. No other technology channel on the AvantGo service offers such frequent updates.
As the leading provider of mobile infrastructure software and services, AvantGo's enterprise software and hosted network enable hundreds of businesses to deliver content and applications to more than 2.5 million mobile consumers.
"For wireless professionals who must be knowledgeable and up-to-date on the industry, this is an extraordinary service," said Jim Nash, InformationWeek.com managing editor of interactive products. "We will publish the most important and timely information for business technology professionals on our AvantGo service channel."
The Informationweek Daily E-newsletter is a component of CMP Media's recently re-launched TechWeb.com, a content packager that aggregates and presents content for business technology professionals with buying power.
"We are excited to offer wireless business technology professionals with news and information to make timely, well-informed buying decisions," said Amy Sklar, managing director, CMP Media's TechWeb. "AvantGo mobile Internet subscribers will now be able to stay on top of industry news at all times."
