Interop New York, produced by CMP, today announced the launch of Microsoft's Who Are You campaign at Interop New York at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, October 22-26, 2007. Who Are You is a unique, multi-tiered approach centered around celebrating the inner IT professional -- their inspirations, passions, hobbies and talents.

Interop will host several Microsoft events where IT professionals can showcase their multi-dimensional, creative personalities outside of their professional persona. All performances will be recorded live at Interop at the Who Are You performance lounge on the expo floor. Pre-event user-generated content, as well as what will be recorded at the event, will be featured on the Who Are You Web site at http://www.wewanttoknow.net/. The site will be the source for the new campaign, allowing IT Professionals an outlet to show that in addition to their important roles as analysts, developers, and engineers, they are novelists, magicians, craftsman, athletes, philanthropists and more. Interop and Microsoft want to discover their stories and celebrate the multi-faceted IT pro in front of Interop's vast audience.

"Interop has become the gathering place for the business IT community," said Lenny Heymann, Interop General Manager. "Microsoft's Who Are You campaign helps us get to know our audiences that much better, connecting with each individual on a personal level."

Throughout the years Interop has been committed to bringing together the largest audiences of regional to international buyers from the enterprise, SMB and channel in addition to press and analysts. Interop offers the unique opportunity to experience a comprehensive array of cutting-edge education seminars and live demonstrations of tomorrow's technologies. Microsoft's Who Are You campaign calls for a new level of customer involvement and provides the Interop audience the chance to express themselves.

"Microsoft's Who Are You is about the power of a community," said Romi Mahajan, Director of Technical Audience Platform Marketing, Microsoft. "Interop is the perfect platform for IT professionals to express their multi-dimensional character among their peers, strengthening the industry bond."

Additionally, on Tuesday, October 23rd, Microsoft will host a Who Are You VIP party celebrating the IT professionals at Interop New York's 2007 attendee party. Microsoft's Who Are You Lounge will be located on the Expo floor in booth #145 throughout the duration of Interop.
