TechWeb and O'Reilly Media, Inc., co-producers of Web 2.0 Expo and Web 2.0 Summit, today announced Web 2.0 Expo Europe, happening October 21-23 at the Berliner Congress Center in Berlin, Germany and Web 2.0 Expo Tokyo happening December 3-4 at the Nikko Hotel in Tokyo, Japan. These events extend the Web 2.0 Expo portfolio worldwide to involve a global audience of developers, designers, marketers, and business professionals building the next generation Web. Strong demand from Web 2.0 events in San Francisco and interest from international audiences prompted the launch of the Web 2.0 Expo brand worldwide.

"We become stronger conference organizers through the experiences and feedback of our audiences," said Jen Pahlka, Web 2.0 Expo General Manager and Conference Co-Chair. "We are excited to share the content and venue improvements we've made to our international programs, adding value to the overall attendee and sponsor experience at our events."

Web 2.0 Expo brings together international delegates as it features the most innovative and successful industry figures and companies from around the world. The event explores business models, development paradigms, and design strategies to enable mainstream businesses and new arrivals to the Web 2.0 world to take advantage of this new generation of services and opportunities. Returning to Berlin, Web 2.0 Expo is welcoming 2008 delegates in a new venue -- the Berliner Congress Center -- a beautifully-designed and intimate location, centrally located in a vibrant capital city.

Call for submissions for both events will open in the next few weeks.
