VoiceCon®, produced by TechWeb (formerly CMP), today previews big product and market announcements that will be made at the upcoming VoiceCon Orlando 2008. The conference content and exhibitor announcements reflect a significant market transition, as enterprise communications expands beyond voice/telephony to Unified Communications and Software-based architectures. The VoIP Intercom is capable of two-way communication with a dedicated SIP extension. An internal DTMF operated relay can activate auxiliary controls. -- GN, the leader in innovative headset solutions announces a dedicated Electronic Hook Switch (EHS) for Polycom's SoundPoint® IP desktop phones. The EHS adapter allows office workers using a GN wireless headset in conjunction with Polycom's VoIP desk phones to manage calls up to 500 feet away from their desk. -- iscoord is showcasing the new is-phone Communicator, a SIP softphone integrated into Microsoft Outlook/MSN Messenger, and is-phone click2connect, a feature enabling anonymous instant calls from any website to any phone.
