VoiceCon Amsterdam®, produced by TechWeb, today announced that momentum is building for its European launch event in Europe. VoiceCon Amsterdam will be held 14-16 October at the Amsterdam RAI (for details go to http://www.voicecon.eu/). Over its 18-year history, VoiceCon has become the leading event in North America focusing on enterprise communications -- IP Telephony, Unified Communications and Converged Networks.

"Attendance is growing and the VoiceCon Amsterdam Demo Pavilion will give attendees a chance to meet the key companies in European enterprise communications," said Fred Knight, VoiceCon General Manager. "There will be keynote presentations by the thought leaders in the market, there will be significant announcements by sponsors and exhibitors, and attendees will have an unparalleled opportunity to network with one another -- to learn what's working, what's not and why."

The keynote lineup for VoiceCon Amsterdam includes: Eelco Blok, Managing Director of KPN's Business, Getronics and Wholesale & Operations Segments; Joe Burton, Vice President and CTO, Unified Communications, Cisco; David Farrell, Vice President, IBM Software Europe; Jean-Marc Voelckel, CIO, Ingencio; Eric Swift, Senior Director, Microsoft; Johan Krebbers, Group IT Architect, Royal Dutch Shell; and Gerhard Otterbach, Member of the Board, Siemens Enterprise Communications.

Microsoft has selected VoiceCon Amsterdam to release details of its new Office Communications Server 2007 Release 2. According to Microsoft, the new OCS Release 2 will validate its software-based approach to Unified Communications. In addition, KPN will unveil its new product and service strategy for enterprise Unified Communications. Recent additions to the VoiceCon Amsterdam Demo Pavilion include KPN Partners Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent, Mitel and Nortel. Among the other companies making announcements at VoiceCon Amsterdam are AVST and NetIQ.

VoiceCon Amsterdam is designed to help enterprise executives address two fundamental questions: How to select and build the IP Telephony and enterprise communications platform that is right for their enterprise; and how to leverage that platform for Unified Communications and other emerging applications. In addition to the keynote presentations, VoiceCon will present a complete line-up of tutorials and conference sessions.

VoiceCon Amsterdam is both a conference and an exhibition, with many of the market leaders in European enterprise communications participating in the Demo Pavilion. The VoiceCon Amsterdam Diamond Sponsors include KPN, Siemens, Psytechnics and IBM. The Platinum, Gold, and Silver Sponsors include Microsoft, Mitel, Prognosis, Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco, Eaton, HP ProCurve, LG Nortel, Motorola, NEC-Phillips, NetIQ, Nortel, Polycom, Quintum and ShoreTel.
