Software development industry leaders will showcase their latest cutting-edge tools, technologies and solutions at CMP Media's SD Best Practices Conference & Expo., a four-day event, running September 20 - 23rd at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston. * Accurev will showcase AccuRev® 3.5, the newest release of its
award-winning SCM software. AccuRev's stream-based architecture is
built for today's complex software development environments. AccuRev
3.5 includes additional built-in SCM best practices to use AccuRev in
ever-changing development processes, generally without scripting or
rearchitecting.
* Intel will present its VTune™ Analyzers that help locate and remove
software performance bottlenecks by collecting, analyzing, and
displaying performance data from the system-wide level down to the
source level. The VTune analyzers provide multiple profiling
technologies that enable optimization across multiple operating system
platforms and development environments and support the latest Intel
processors. For Linux, it now features integration with the Eclipse*
IDE.
* McCabe & Associates, Inc. will be introducing C# support for McCabe IQ,
the software quality solution that's analyzed the quality and test
coverage of over 100 billion lines of code. McCabe will also be
announcing the availability of TRUEtrack 3.0, a highly-customizable,
defect tracking and reporting solution, enabling worldwide process
management via the Internet.
* MetaCase will be releasing a Mac OS X version of its customizable
modeling and code generation environment MetaEdit+, which allows
companies to define domain-specific modeling languages and code
generators in order to automatically generate full code from high-level
design specifications. MetaEdit+ 4.0 also runs on Windows, Linux,
HP-UX and Solaris.
* Nuvotec will be announcing the availability of Guibot software. Guibot
products establish fast, clear and accurate user requirements by
enhancing the UML standard with Nuvotec's Extended Activity Semantics
(patent pending). Guibot tools provide a visualization of customer
workflow using automatic GUI prototyping, while presenting a precise
description of the user activity and information requirements to the
software analyst, resulting in quick buy-in and clear communication.
Advanced features such as forward and reverse engineering of activity
diagrams and GUI prototyping is also implemented to assist in rapid and
accurate software development.
* Power Object will present its new product: RACE ESB Framework Suite.
By utilizing Dynamic Service Configuration (DSC) technology and an
Enterprise Data Library (EDL), the RACE ESB Framework Suite provides an
"off the shelf" solution to compose, test, deploy, secure, scale,
manage and monitor the Enterprise Services Bus for any organization.
* Seapine Software will be showcasing TestTrack Pro 7.0 -- to manage
development issues anytime, anyplace. New features include SQL
database support, LDAP support, defect linking, and even tighter
integration with Surround SCM. Powerful TestTrack Pro 7.0 is ready to
use right out-of-the box, runs on multiple operating systems, and
scales to support hundreds of users.
* Segue Software will present SilkTest 7.1, it extends its scripting
model to permit writing test scripts using JavaScript. Users can
combine the testing-specific features of 4Test, SilkTest's object
oriented scripting language, with the rich client side functionality of
JavaScript to build greater test coverage. Additionally, organizations
can leverage web developers in their automated testing efforts.
